DO I HAVE TO SPAR?

Provided you reach the required level you have the option. However, you are under no pressure to spar and you do not have to compete.
We will never charge extra for sparring.

CAN WE JOIN JUST TO GET FIT?

Absolutely, our conditioning is legendary.

ARE THERE CLASSES?

There are no classes, we instruct members when they arrive. Booking a time with a trainer is not necessary and there is no extra fees for the personal instruction members receive.

Instruction is from 7am – 11:00pm Monday to Friday.

Weekend instruction is from 7am – 11:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

HOW DOES THE 24/7 SYSTEM WORK?

The gym is manned from 7am – 11:00pm Monday – Friday.
An electric key enables you to get in at all other times.

HOW MANY INSTRUCTORS ARE THERE?

Up to three in the gym during peak hours.

WHEN CAN I VISIT THE GYM?

Non - Members looking to join Sugarrays can visit the gym from 12 noon – 8.00 pm Monday to Friday and from 10 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sundays.

CAN I PAY FOR EXTRA INSTRUCTION?

No, the policy is instruction is included.

DO WE DO DROP INS?

Sorry, you are welcome to visit the club however we are a members only facility.

HOW LONG BEFORE I AM A GOOD BOXER?

It takes time.
Experience tells us that talent comes a distant second to how hard you are prepared to work to be good – This one is up to you but if you twist my arm 12 - 24 months depending on your level of experience and application.

We don’t give free sessions or free months if you sign up today, on the other hand our rates are by far the best in town and are hours totally unmatched.

HOW DO WE TRAIN YOU?

Firstly we look at balance and movement then transfer of weight, I'll have you punching perfectly every time, and later you get to develop your own style If it requires adjustments then will work it out. At the same time we do conditioning and floor exercises and we can look at a weight training program and give dietary advice.

WHY DO WE NOT DO BOXERCISE?

This is a boxing gym where we teach real boxing and the proper boxing techniques. We don't have anything against boxercise it just isn't what we do here.

CAN I COMPETE?

Yes, we are able to arrange for you to fight at amateur level or as a professional. However, our standards are high and the final decision always rests with the trainers at Sugarrays.
